Our research in physiology focuses on how morphological and physiological traits enable organisms to adapt to environmental challenges, particularly with regards to understanding the trade-offs that shape survival and reproduction.
We address questions related to:
- flight dynamics
- thermoregulation
- reproductive senescence
- embryonic development
- eggshell variation
Using techniques such as:
- infrared thermography
- experimental manipulations (e.g. thermal tolerance)
- stress hormone analysis
